Bob is the founder of SeMI Technologies, which is the business created around the open-source vector search engine Weaviate. Besides SeMI and Weaviate. Bob is a frequent speaker on the topics of open source, digital technology, software business, and creativity. He has spoken at around 50 events as a GDE in Europe, the US, and Russia.
Prof. Florence is an Associate Professor at Soroti University. She has received two awards from Google. One, for mapping Kampala, Entebbe and Jinja CBDs onto google maps and the second one on translation of Google.com interfaces into Luganda, Luo and Runyakitara local languages, in a bid to reduce the digital divide.
She has developed intelligent systems for object recognition in images and is passionate about Artificial Intelligence. She is currently using AI to predict COVID-19 trends.
