International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated internationally on the 8th of March each year and provides a day for celebration and reflection on social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for gender parity.

Angelique is an experienced Finance Business Partner, having worked in various roles across Manufacturing, Technology, and FMCG MNCs. In Danone Singapore, she was invited to move to the Paris HQ, working in Internal Audit and Global Controlling across all business units. She moved back to Singapore to join Google in 2021, helping to optimise their strategy to achieve sustained double digit advertising growth.
Angelique graduated from NTU with a Double Degree in Accountancy and Business (Accounting & Finance). She is also a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
Outside of work, Angelique is passionate about giving back to society and constant learning. She was in the ExCo of Young Women's Leadership Connection, leading a 11-person team to establish strategic partnerships. She has conducted classes for ISCA and NTU, and served as a mentor for ITE and university students since 2017. She also has deep interests in learning about the intricacies of China and sharing data visualisation and learnings on her Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/my.data.journey/).

She received her M.Sc. degree in computer science from the College of Computing and Information Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST), in 2015. In her master’s work, she introduced a DCT-based steganography method for 3D models. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Qatar University (QU). Her research work was addressing performance and security issues in Tor’s networks. Her current research interests include privacy and anonymity, networking and protocols, and information security.

Avneet Kaur is the Startups Program Manager at 360Nautica which is a venture builder firm that invests in early and growth stage Starups in Middle East and Asia . She is responsible for Doha Startups, Startup Grind , 360 Nautica and all their investments.
She is a graduate in Business Management from Delhi University and had been working in the travel industry for 12 years as a part of various organizations and as an entrepreneur prior to joining 360 Nautica in 2021.

Rachael is a researcher at Qatar University and a Ph.D. student at the University of Sussex, UK. She works in the domain of Information Visualization, primarily visualizing data related to Cybersecurity. She is also interested in Machine Learning and was awarded Dataquest's ML scholarship. She believes in giving back to the community and does so in her own way by conducting workshops and speaking at tech-events and conferences.
