Ershian Anwar, Expert Consumer Product Design for JazzCash, is a Mechatronics graduate from NUST with Masters in Robotics and AI. He has over 9 years experience in technical product design, hiring technical teams himself as well as designing testing processes for technical and non-technical recruitments. Currently he is part of the Product Management team at JazzCash, a mobile wallet platform of Jazz, Pakistan’s largest Telecom. He started his entrepreneurial journey in junior year of university in 2010 with Quadsource. Mostly providing IT solutions to foreign clients, quickly expanded into other fields such as Digital Signage solutions(2012), Augmented Reality based games and marketing material production (2013). His most recent venture was launched in December 2016 and serves as a successful model for Alumni|Academia partnership with Dr Yasar Ayaz(NCAI) and Salman Farooq(Du Telco). Anzen, provides IoT based products for home automation and intelligent surveillance. In addition to that, he was technical consultant and CTO for Radical Growth Solutions, working to bring EdgeAI down to tree level on massive date farms using LoRaWAN technology.
Irum is a Data Scientist currently working with a multinational company The Entertainer and has been working in industry for more than 4 years. During her past experiences she worked closely with tech startup Anzen and led the team responsible for developing Artificial Intelligence-based surveillance solutions. Throughout her career she has worked in diverse environments from start-up ecosystems to SMEs to multinational corporate. She loves to work on initiatives that allow her to empower and inspire others so she co-founded Islamabad.AI in a hope to minimize the gap between academia and industry and to train students accordingly. Irum is leading Pakistan's first Google Developers Group (GDG) CLOUD in Islamabad and also serving as a Google's Women Techmakers Ambassador. Recently she was selected in the silver tier #IamRemarkable facilitators which means she is in the top 200 out of 5000+ facilitators globally. She believes in advocating for true gender diversity, equity and inclusion.
Technical enthusiasm aside, Irum is very passionate and eager about adventure and travelling the world to get acquainted with different cultures in different areas of the world and now she has become a Level 8 Google Local Guide.
