This year our theme is based on the the incredible strength and power women have shown in the face of adversity. We recognize that there were tremendous challenges over the past year, especially for women, from dealing with COVID to broader issues of racial justice and human rights. But we remain hopeful about the future and the belief that together our community can create positive change throughout the world.
This #WD2021 event is very unique. We have put together a very diverse agenda keeping in view all our amazing audience from techies to non techies. We have sessions, talks, hands-on workshops and women supporting women sessions where you will get to hear many amazing ladies.
All the workshops will be conducted by Google Developer Experts and experienced trainers from the industry.

Irum is a Data Scientist currently working with Jazz and has been working in the industry for more than 4 years. During her past experiences, she worked closely with tech startup Anzen and led the team responsible for developing Artificial Intelligence-based surveillance solutions. Throughout her career, she has worked in diverse environments from start-up ecosystems to SMEs to multinational corporations. She loves to work on initiatives that allow her to empower and inspire others so she co-founded Islamabad.AI in the hope to minimize the gap between academia and industry and training students accordingly. Irum is leading Pakistan's first Google Developers Group (GDG) CLOUD in Islamabad and also serving as Google's Women Techmakers Ambassador. Recently she was selected in the GOLD tier #IamRemarkable facilitators which means she is in the top 100 out of 5000+ facilitators globally. She believes in advocating for true gender diversity, equity and inclusion.
Technical enthusiasm aside, Irum is very passionate and eager about adventure and travelling the world to get acquainted with different cultures in different areas of the world and now she has become a Level 8 Google Local Guide.
Ershian Anwar, Expert Consumer Product Design for JazzCash, is a Mechatronics graduate from NUST with Masters in Robotics and AI. He has over 9 years experience in technical product design, hiring technical teams himself as well as designing testing processes for technical and non-technical recruitments. Currently he is part of the Product Management team at JazzCash, a mobile wallet platform of Jazz, Pakistan’s largest Telecom. He started his entrepreneurial journey in junior year of university in 2010 with Quadsource. Mostly providing IT solutions to foreign clients, quickly expanded into other fields such as Digital Signage solutions(2012), Augmented Reality based games and marketing material production (2013). His most recent venture was launched in December 2016 and serves as a successful model for Alumni|Academia partnership with Dr Yasar Ayaz(NCAI) and Salman Farooq(Du Telco). Anzen, provides IoT based products for home automation and intelligent surveillance. In addition to that, he was technical consultant and CTO for Radical Growth Solutions, working to bring EdgeAI down to tree level on massive date farms using LoRaWAN technology.
Working on the latest trends and technologies with active services and businesses amid the difficult COVID-19 pandemic times, Ramis has the privilege of being part of GDG Cloud Islamabad while being the Pioneer DSC NUST Lead. Since the beginning, Ramis has had the unending drive of giving back to the community. His passion and enthusiasm for tech and volunteering has led him to many successful projects, such as HackACM 2019: Pakistan’s first SDG overnight Hackathon.
Aqsa is a GDE (in ML) and a curious Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about technology, learning new things and sharing ideas with others. She strongly believes in the power of ideas to shape a better world and in that spirit actively contributes her knowledge through blogs, tech talks and workshops. She was also a mentor twice at Google’s Women Developer Academy. She holds a BSEE and currently works for Red Buffer, a Machine Learning and AI software services company based out of Islamabad, Pakistan.
Currently working as Head of AI at Neural Jam in Germany, he’s also a Google Developers Expert #GDE for Machine Learning. His expertise also includes Machine Learning with Computer vision and Natural Language Processing.
He’s enthusiastic and self-driven for R&D in AI and currently doing research in latent variable methods.
Jawad Sadiq is a versatile technology professional exploring 4th wave industry disruption, with a background in engineering and computer science spanning 10 years. Over the past several years, he has worked with multiple high growth startups in the MENASA region and is presently engaged as Backend Engineer with KeepTruckin.
