Laura Morillo-Velarde Rodríguez - Tech Lead at seedtag

Laura has been working on developing various types of applications since 2007. During this period she worked with several languages and frameworks, adapting herself to the market and her job needs and looking forward to acquire new knowledge. Specialties: Microservices, Kubernetes, Web development, testing, agile methodologies. „Continuous learning is one of the things I value most in my profession.”

Márk Sági-Kazár - Engineering Technical Lead at Cisco

Mark fell in love with programming at the age of seven when (with some fatherly assistance) he managed to write an analog clock program in Basic. Many years have passed since then, but his enthusiasm for tech never changed which led Mark to Open Source software. He authored and maintains to this day several Open Source libraries and applications and regularly contributes to even more of them. Currently, Mark tries to keep Kubernetes clusters alive at Cisco (formerly Banzai Cloud) and tries to convince the world to stay the hell away from microservices.

Abstract: Secret management in Kubernetes is a regular subject of Márk's presentations because it’s one of the most misunderstood concepts in the ecosystem. As such, the community came up with several solutions to make the experience smoother (with more or less success). In his presentation, he’ll try to explain and resolve some of the common misunderstandings about secret management in Kubernetes and give you an update on the latest solutions (including a live demo).
