Gaining prominence as a technologically involved and fulfilled community created and sustained through cumulative contributions of innovators and scholastic peers, GDGoC@SOA - Student Chapter(CSE, ITER) is a paramount initiation courtesy of Google Developer Student Chapter to promote technology and innovation to far reaching student associations and communities.

About Us

GDGoC@SOA - Student Chapter(CSE, ITER) is a thriving community of passionate learners, innovators, and builders united by a shared goal, to empower students through technology and collaborative learning.

Founded on August 15, 2021, our chapter has grown into a dynamic ecosystem of 1000+ active members, extending its reach across universities and local tech communities. What began as a small initiative to foster technical awareness has evolved into a leading student-driven developer community, encouraging peer-to-peer learning, innovation, and real-world impact.

At GDGoC@SOA, our members are the foundation of our success, they are the thinkers, innovators, and leaders shaping the next generation of developers.

Chapter Mission

  1. To promote innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning among students through hands-on activities, workshops, and real-world projects.

  2. To empower members with cutting-edge technologies and developer tools from Google and beyond, enabling them to solve real challenges creatively.

  3. To build a strong developer community that connects students, academia, and industry-driving knowledge exchange and inspiring future-ready leaders.

  4. To provide a platform for students and tech enthusiasts to learn, connect, and collaborate by fostering skill development in Google technologies and inspiring innovations.

  5. To offer hands-on workshops, code labs, and tech talks on a wide array of Google's developer technologies, such as Google Cloud and Firebase.

What We Do

We organize a wide range of activities and events to help students upskill, collaborate, and grow as developers:

  • Webinars, tech talks, and bootcamps on emerging technologies

  • Hands-on workshops and hackathons

  • Cloud Study Jams, CTFs, and certification programs

  • Collaboration with other GDSCs and developer communities

  • Mentorship sessions promoting startup culture, research, and innovation

  • 30 Days of Google Cloud: Impacted 500+ participants and helped 20+ achieve certification

  • Workshops & Bootcamps on Flutter, ML, Kotlin, Azure, GCP, DSA, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, and more

  • Promoted Startup culture, Competitive Programming, and Research through mentorship

  • 20+ socially impactful projects submitted to the ITER Solution Challenge

  • Developed “ITER Connect” App during Android Study Jams

Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Policy

As an official student developer community operating under institutional guidance, GDGoC ITER requires all members to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and responsible communication.

By being a member of GDGoC ITER, you agree to the following:

  1. Adherence to Protocols
    All members must follow the established community protocols, communication hierarchy, and approval processes.
    Failure to follow official procedures, bypass authorized channels, or misrepresent approvals or permissions will be treated as a serious violation.

  2. Responsible Communication
    Members must not:
    - Spread rumors, misinformation, or unverified claims
    - Create confusion or miscommunication within the community or institution
    - Mislead members, faculty, coordinators, or external organizations
    - Misrepresent GDGoC ITER, its leadership, or institutional permissions
    - All communication must be accurate, transparent, and responsible.

  3. Ethical Conduct and Community Environment
    Any behavior that:
    - Manipulates, influences, or misguides members inappropriately
    - Disrupts team coordination or community functioning
    - Damages the reputation, credibility, or trust of GDGoC ITER
    will be considered a violation of this Code of Conduct.

  4. Misrepresentation of Authority and Permissions
    Members must not falsely claim, imply, or communicate that permissions, approvals, or authorizations have been granted by:
    - Faculty coordinators
    - GDGoC leadership
    - Institutional authorities
    when such permissions have not been officially provided. Such actions constitute a severe breach of integrity.

  5. Disciplinary Authority and Enforcement
    GDGoC ITER reserves the full authority to take disciplinary action against any member found violating this Code of Conduct.
    Such actions may include:
    - Warning
    - Suspension from activities
    - Removal from projects
    - Permanent removal from GDGoC ITER chapter
    depending on the severity and impact of the violation. Removal decisions made by the GDGoC ITER leadership in coordination with faculty coordinators, where applicable, shall be final.

  6. Escalation to Institutional Authorities
    In cases involving serious misconduct, misrepresentation, reputational harm, or continued violations, GDGoC ITER reserves the right to formally escalate the matter to institutional authorities for further review and appropriate action.
    This is necessary to protect the integrity of the community and the institution.

  7. Post-Removal Conduct
    Any individual removed from GDGoC ITER must:
    - Immediately cease representing themselves as a GDGoC ITER member
    - Refrain from spreading misinformation or unofficial claims about GDGoC ITER
    Failure to comply may result in further escalation to institutional authorities.

What is Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) ?

Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) are community groups for college and university students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.

Can I be a part of this with no prior coding skills/experience ?

Yes, you do not require any prior coding skills to be a part of this chapter. All you need is the enthusiasm and passion to learn and apply your skills in projects and innovations.
