The Google Developer Group Merced was established to facilitate learning and networking among techies, tech-adjacent individuals, and tech enthusiasts. It aims to start forming connections to foster pathways into technology for young people and underestimated individuals while also fostering a local tech community focused on growth and education. Membership in GDG Merced offers access to skill-building in diverse formats and the chance to connect with local experts and each other either online or in person. Emphasizing inclusivity, the group welcomes everyone interested in technology, from novices to seasoned experts. 

GDGs focus on: 

Connection: Meet local developers and technologists. All are welcome, including those with unique backgrounds and from various companies and industries.

Learning: Learn about a range of technical topics and gain new skills through hands-on workshops, training, events, talks, and meetups, online and in person.

Growing: Apply knowledge and connections to build great products and advance your skills, career, and network. Help your community learn too.
