Google Developer Groups (GDG) is the largest developer community in the world. Over 1000+ GDGs exist in 140+ countries around the globe. We help developers to connect with one another to learn about, build products on all Google platforms. Each GDG is a local community hub of professional developers who share expertise and passion for Google's developer technology.

A Google Cloud Developer Community (formerly known as “GDG Cloud”) is a group of technical Google Cloud users (enthusiasts, practitioners, developers, data scientists, ops, ...). Organizers and participants are eager to share best practices and to learn new things about Google Cloud Platform and the Open Source Google ecosystem of applications.

GDG communities coordinate community activities centered around helping developers learn, connect, and grow while building a strong sense of belonging to the local and global Google Developer Groups community.

There are a number of benefits to becoming part of a GDG chapter, but here are a few that stand out:

* Professional growth - Access to community management training and technical knowledge to help you be a stronger leader. Invitations to select Google events.
