Google Developer Group (GDG) Belgrade officially launched on June 12, 2025, with a mission to bring together developers, designers, students, and tech enthusiasts across Serbia. As part of the global GDG network, our chapter was founded to serve as a platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation centered around Google technologies and the broader tech landscape.

Since its formation, GDG Belgrade has focused on building a strong foundation rooted in inclusivity, technical growth, and community empowerment, while fostering close collaboration with student chapters and the broader developer ecosystem in the region.

Our event programming is structured around quarterly themes, combining technical deep-dives, networking opportunities, and project-based learning. These include:

🤝 Mentorship Program

The GDG Belgrade × GDGoC University of Belgrade Mentorship Program is a cornerstone of our community development strategy. Designed to support students and early-career professionals, the program includes:

  • Structured Mentorship Cycles – Spanning three quarters with regular check-ins

  • One-on-One Pairings – Mentors from the local tech ecosystem matched with GDGoC students based on shared goals and skills

  • Workshops & Milestone Reviews – Goal-setting, communication skills, and professional development sessions

  • Project Collaboration – Optional tracks to build and showcase technical projects

The program is centrally managed and supported through tools for scheduling, feedback, and engagement tracking.

What is the GDG × GDGoC Mentorship Program?

It’s a multi-month mentorship initiative pairing GDGoC students with professionals in tech. Mentors help mentees set goals, develop projects, and build real-world skills, with support from GDG Belgrade organizers and workshops throughout the year.

How can I become a mentor?

If you're a developer or tech professional passionate about giving back, we'd love to hear from you! Applications to become a mentor are typically open during mentorship onboarding cycles.
