Mission: To foster a vibrant and inclusive community in Annapolis where individuals can connect, learn, and grow in the field of technology. We strive to provide accessible resources and opportunities for both technical and non-technical individuals to advance their skills, build their networks, and achieve their goals.

Goals:

1. Community Building and Outreach:

  • Cultivate a strong and inclusive community: Actively foster a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and encouraged to participate.
  • Expand reach and engage new members: Actively promote your group and its events through various channels (social media, local tech hubs, universities, etc.) to attract a diverse membership base.
  • Collaborate with other organizations: Partner with other tech groups, educational institutions, and businesses in Annapolis to expand your reach and offer more comprehensive resources to the community.

2. Skill Development and Career Advancement:

  • Provide mentorship opportunities: Pair experienced members with those seeking guidance to foster knowledge transfer and career development.
  • Offer career development resources: Organize workshops or invite speakers to share insights on resume building, interview skills, and navigating the tech job market.
  • Encourage project collaboration: Create opportunities for members to collaborate on real-world projects, building their portfolios and practical experience.

3. Innovation and Thought Leadership:

  • Host hackathons and coding competitions: Challenge members to develop creative solutions to problems or explore new technologies.
