At this Meetup we would like to give you an insight into how the tech teams are set up for one of Germany's largest e-commerce sites - otto.de. The questionsOTTO’s teams usually faces on a daily basis are how to make shopping at otto.de more exciting for it's visitors and customers and how ideas can be translated into new features that need to be developed and tracked. The current challenges OTTO is facing right now is developing a new internal search engine for example.

Learn from one of Hamburg’s best teams. We will receive an insight into the different team roles that are necessary to make a great online shopping experience happen: Developer, DevOps Engineer, Technical Designer, Web Analyst and Quality Assurance. Also we will learn, how these roles connect to one another and what kind of input they get from other related roles like User Experience Design.

The main part of this evening will be un-conference style: After getting to know the different team roles, you can choose which one you want to dive deeper into with some practical tasks on challenges like virtual reality and Otto now.

This Meetup will be part of OTTO's Innovation Days where the motto is connecting the dots. We will be connecting the dots so you know in the end how to develop an innovative digital product at Otto.
