About this event

We are excited to host our first SF Android GDG event at Slack HQ in San Francisco. We have two exciting 15 min. talks from the Slack Android team that we can't wait to share with you.

** Everyone must RSVP in advance to attend

Talk Title: Debugging Deeplinks in Chrome for Android
Talk Abstract: The Chrome browser on Android has a set of powerful debugging tools you can use. This talk will cover a deeplink issue we had with Chrome, and how these tools helped us to track down and resolve it.
Speaker: Adam Speakman
Bio: Adam is an Android Engineer at Slack and has been an Android developer for the last 8 years. He comes from New Zealand, a country missing from most maps.

Talk Title: Logging in Takes Seconds
Talk Abstract: We recently implemented SmartLock for android but in order to achieve it, we had to use a new experimental google API called IdTokens, this talk could explore the process and the gotchas, including some kotlin niceties around sealed classes we implemented.
Speaker: Sam Wolfand
Bio: Sam is an Android Engineer at slack. When not working on android, he can be found trying every burrito in a 10 mile radius.
