You probably use apps to watch videos or listen music on a daily basis. With both tools in the Android SDK as external libraries you can create your own feature rich video or audio app. But how complex is it?

This meetup, as you’ve guessed it, is all about media API’s on Android. Remco Mokveld will talk about how to deal with offline video in combination with ExoPlayer.

ExoPlayer is an open source project maintained by Google on Github to offer more features than Android’s standard MediaPlayer API. ExoPlayer is used by many apps on the Google PlayStore and is also a core part of YouTube’s app.

The second talk of the evening will shine some light on Media API's for Audio. Dion Segijn will talk about his experience setting up audio for Blendle’s latest product.
