¡Hola GDGers!

¡Ya ha llegado la 4a edición del International Women's Day! Esperamos veros el próximo 6 de Abril en el Hotel Novotel Barcelona City.

Este año volvemos a celebrarlo dando protagonismo a las tecnologías punteras en el sector.
Conoceremos los últimos avances en tecnología, a través de charlas inspiradoras presentadas por destacables ponentes en nuestra comunidad, que compartirán su experiencia superando los retos que se encuentran al poner en práctica estos avances en su día a día.

Como ya sabéis, Women Techmakers es una iniciativa liderada por Google cuyo objetivo es dar visibilidad a las mujeres en el sector tecnológico. Coincidiendo con la celebración del día internacional de la mujer, durante los meses de Marzo y Abril, se organizan eventos en comunidades por todo el mundo con el propósito de dar confianza y visibilidad a la mujer en este sector y mitigar el desequilibrio de género que existe. Todo público es bienvenido. La única particularidad de estos eventos es que las ponentes son exclusivamente mujeres.

En esta nueva edición os volvemos a ofrecer un día entero de conferencias.
Abriremos puertas a las 8:45h y hasta las 18:30h disfrutaremos de interesantes charlas y workshops sobre desarrollo backend y frontend, testing, criptografía, ciberseguridad, amazon web services, devops, programación funcional, corrutinas en Kotlin, desarrollo de videojuegos y accesibilidad para web entre otros temas. Todo esto repartido en 2 tracks: uno en castellano y otro en inglés.

Estamos muy emocionadas con esta nueva edición, y esperamos compartirlo con todas vosotras y todos vosotros. ¡Animaros a acompañarnos!

Hello GDGers!

The 4th edition of the International Women’s Day is here! We hope to see you all on April 6th at Hotel Novotel Barcelona City.

This year we celebrate it again giving protagonism to the trending technologies in this sector.

We will learn about the latest technical advances through inspirational talks presented by outstanding speakers in our community, that will share their experience overcoming the challenges they face using those breakthroughs in their everyday life.

As you may know, Women Techmakers is an initiative led by Google with the goal to promote and give visibility to women in tech. With the occasion of the International Women’s Day, in March and April, communities from all around the world are organizing special events. The purpose is raising the confidence and visibility of women and mitigate the unbalance that we find in the technology sector. Everyone is invited and more than welcome to participate. What is special about those events is that all speakers are women.

In this new edition, we offer again a whole day conference. We will open doors at 8:45am and up until 6:30 pm.
We will enjoy interesting talks and workshops about backend and fronted development, testing cryptography, cybersecurity, amazon web services, devops, functional programming, Kotlin coroutines, videogames development and web accessibility among other topics. All of that distributed in two tracks: one in Spanish and one in English.

We’re very excited about this edition and we hope to see you all there! Come and join us!
