About this event

This talk will be in English unless everybody in the room understands Spanish.

Description: In this talk we will analyze some implementations of Clean Architecture that are common in the Android community, and we’ll see how they fit into the original proposal from Robert C. Martin. We will focus on those parts that usually don’t follow the theory, discussing on what we could improve if we had followed the original proposal. Finally, we will observe how we can bend these rules (especially with the help of Kotlin) to improve our code base and reduce boilerplate, while maintaining the same level of readability, maintainability, and scalability. Everything based on the real experience of building an app used by millions.

About the speaker: Rubén is a vocational developer, currently working as a Senior Android Engineer at Wallapop, and he is also one of the organizers of the GDG Barcelona. He formerly worked as Lead Android Developer at Redbooth, and as an assistant professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. When he is not coding for food, he is learning what being a father really means.
