For this meetup we want to brainstorm and discuss the direction(s) in which we should take the group. We need a permanent venue, we need to nail down our purpose, how we fit in to the Asheville area, what we want to accomplish, etc. Some initial ideas are: a tech learning community, an advocacy / support group, a bridge between those interested in entering the tech world and the local tech companies who need them, tech interest / enthusiast group, a hub for local tech events (DevFests), etc. Also note: we are not limited to Google products and platforms. Just like us, Google is primarily interested in impacting communities and improving the quality of life for everyone, whether or not that involves something that has Google in the name.
