What is Cloud Study Jam about?

Learn the fundamentals of the Google Cloud Platform, how to run containers on it and how to use the platform for data engineering.

What you will learn:

- Learn how to set up development and production environments in the Cloud.
- Learn how Docker and Kubernetes work, or learn how to process Big Data in the Cloud.
- Get access to Qwiklabs, a Google training tool, free of charge (a $70+ value).
- Get Google-hosted badges for your online profile, to show potential employers what you know about Cloud computing.
- Pave a path towards getting Google Cloud Certification

How long does it take?
--------------------------------
One in-person session of 3 hours, followed by 2-8 hours of self-study.
Agenda:
6:00pm: Three Google Cloud Platform Essentials labs
7:30pm: Break
8:00pm: Intro to Docker or Scientific Data Processing lab
9:00pm: Event ends
