We have quite the announcement!

The official Google Code Jam 2018 registration is now open ( https://codejam.withgoogle.com/codejam/ )! Google Code Jam is a world wide series of algorithmic puzzles that can lead to a chance to earn the title of Code Jam Champion. If you make it to the final round you will be flown to the World Finals in Toronto, Canada and have a chance to win $15,000. The Qualification Round begins on Friday, April 6

In order to ensure you're prepared for the qualification rounds, your local GDG-DC group will be hosting a Practice Session on Thursday, March 29th at Capital One in Tyson's Corner.

Don't miss this great opportunity to attempt problems from previous Code Jams, discuss strategies and techniques for solving problems, and get in some much needed practice time with the support of your fellow programmers. Agenda:
3:00 - Network, grab pizza, get settled
4:00 - Code Jam Overview, including overview of new submission platform
4:15 - Problem 1 Introduction
4:45 - Problem 1 Review and Sample Solutions
5:15 - Problem 2 Introduction
5:45 - Problem 2 Review and Sample Solutions
6:15 - Break For Food
6:30 - Problem 3 Introduction
7:00 - Problem 3 Review and Sample Solutions
7:30 - Open discussion, mingling
8:00 - Study Jam Ends
