In this talk, you will learn about different aspects of Flutter development and how we used them in the EventsPLUS app. We will discuss view hierarchies and explore the benefits of using certain design patterns and practices. We will also talk about different Flutter app architecture patterns and the benefits and drawbacks of using Streams versus the BLoC architecture with RxDart.

Our Flutter app uses Firebase, and you will learn how to integrate Cloud Firestore with your next Flutter application! You will also learn how to make your Flutter application stand out with custom ThemeData and Hero animations. Additionally, we will give an introduction to some popular plugins that were used in the EventsPLUS app such as shared preferences and Flutter advanced network image. Come learn about these interesting topics and see how they helped us build a highly customizable events app!
