International Women's Day (IWD) is marked on March 8th every year. Google supports and celebrates women in technology through numerous initiatives. IWD is an important moment to recognize how women have influenced the tech industry and beyond. The goal of the celebration for Google is to galvanize women with a background or interest in computer science around IWD and raise visibility of women in tech.

For 2020, the Ambassadors of Women Techmakers in Toronto are teaming up with Google Developers Groups to celebrate this year's theme, #TogetherWeRise.

This is a women focused event but we strongly encourage men who are striving to create more diverse, gender-balanced workplaces to attend.
