As a part of the festivities in the lead-up to the AndroidTO DevFest (http://androidto.com) in November, the GDG Toronto Group is excited to present a Flutter Study Jam!
For those of you who may have not yet had opportunity to work with Flutter (https://flutter.io) yet, it is being touted as Google's Mobile SDK (Software Development Kit) with an aim of "Helping developers craft high-quality native experiences across mobile platforms in record time."
This Study Jam will be our chance to kick the tires on this framework and see if it delivers the goods!
## Study Jam Series Format
The Study Jam will be very similar in format to our recently completed TensorFlow series.
This series will consist of six (6) sessions that will follow closely along with the (free) Udacity course "Build Native Mobile Apps with Flutter".
https://www.udacity.com/course/build-native-mobile-apps-with-flutter--ud905
Participants will be expected to complete the relevant course materials in the lead-up to each scheduled session.
In-class sessions will be a hybrid of lecture (~30 minutes) and hands-on coding / development time (~90 minutes).
Lecture segments will cover:
- brief review of key concepts from the Udacity course
- supplemental materials related to app development
- supplemental materials related to releasing applications on to the various App Stores for distribution

Similar to the TensorFlow series, this Study Jam will be open to individuals who are able to define an objective to complete by the end of the series, and who are committed to completing the full course.
The application form will be released in the lead-up to the first session.
Further details will be communicated as they emerge.
