If you cannot attend the Google I/O conference in Mountain View this year, you can get an update from Googlers and the Seattle GDG-ers who did attend. We will have a series of lightning talks that highlight the most exciting and interesting new technologies that we learned from Google I/O. In addition, this year we will have Josh Gordon (https://twitter.com/random_forests) join us and gives us a talk on TensorFlow.
Schedule
- 15 min, "What I learned from Google I/O 2018", Margaret Maynard-Reid
- 15 min, "What's New in Angular", Mikael “Mike” Mörlund
- 15 min, "OK Google, Teach Me About Actions", Josh McAdams
- 45 min, "Getting Started with tf.Keras", Josh Gordon (https://twitter.com/random_forests) & Laurence Moroney (https://twitter.com/lmoroney). This is a hands on workshop with tf.Keras, so please bring your computer if you'd like to attend this one.
Parking
You may park for free in the Google parking garage off of N Northlake Way, just west of (and below) the Fremont Ave Bridge. Don't forget to bring your parking ticket with you to get validation. The validation machine will be placed in the Event Center.
RSVP with Complete Names
Please note that this meetup happens in the main Google building. This means we need to provide building security with first/last names of attendees.
If you RSVP for this event with an incomplete name or alias, you will be moved to the wait list until that is corrected.
