This month we're happy to welcome a speaker from VMWare, Cody Dearkland.
HIS TALK: How a Server Guy Got Started with ClarityUI
ClarityUI isn’t just for the Web Developer anymore! I’m a former server admin, turned automation guy, turned vendor but one constant that’s always existed is how useful being able to build Web applications has been! In this session, I’ll talk a little bit about the how and why I got started with ClarityUI from VMware BEFORE I worked here, and now that I’m on the inside – what I see it getting used for now. We’ll tour through a quick getting started, and show how easy it is to start building ClarityUI based applications today!
Cody Dearkland is a member of the Technical Marketing team for VMware’s Cloud Management Business Unit. He spends his days hacking away at the CMBU’s applications, finding new and create ways to build in them for customers and employees . If it has “as Code” attached to it, you’ll probably find Cody nearby. He’s passionate about communities, automation/application development, and teaching people new tricks. His specific focuses are Python, Kubernetes/Docker, and Developer Operations.”
RAFFLE AND FOOD:
As always, drinks and pizza will be served courtesy of TekSystems. We will also have our monthly raffle with lots of prizes from Google!
There are some new VSP guidelines we need to abide by.
1. All guests must enter through the SOUTH door. We will have signs on the north side of the building directing guests to the south door and asking guests to not knock on any of the northern doors.
2. All guests must wear a name badge at all times. We will have a VSP employee helping guests make a security badge via the machine near the south door throughout the meetup.
3. All guests when they exit must use the SOUTH REVOLVING door. We will also have additional signs indicating this.
