SPECIAL EVENT SUNDAY:  NODEBOTS BATTLE 

Bring your school-going children (K-12) or any child ages 5+, and work with them to teach them the joy of STEM, CS and Robotics. Pair up to build & decorate a NodeBots-powered Robot. Then battle it out with a competitor's bot on the DevFest BattleBoard - till there is only one robot left standing.

It's fun. It's educational. And its an #HourOfCode that will help more people get excited about computer science.

SPECIAL EVENT SUNDAY: APPFEST HACKATHON

Get into teams and build an app in a day. There will be members of the Firebase team and local community Firebase experts on hand to mentor you. Teams of 1-4 people will go from idea to implementation in just one day - for prizes, bragging rights and more. All participants will receive Firebase swag and we will cover food/drink for the day.

The first 100 hackers have already been registered through our early call for participation. But we do have a waitlist & we will be accepting a small number of walk-ins on the day (from registered DevFest attendees). So if you want to participate:

 2. If you already have a 2-day or Sunday ticket to DevFest (and its just $20-$36 right now) just stop by the registration desk on Sunday to see if you can still walk in and hack!
