AGENDA

6:30pm Doors Open

Networking & Drinks Reception sponsored by Fast.ly. We will have beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Come, hang out and chat with the speakers and other members of the community.

7:00pm FEATURE TALK:

"The Building of dev.to, from network performance to community and everything in between" (Speaker: Ben Halpern, Creator @ThePracticalDev, Co-Founder dev.to)

dev.to is a platform and a community where programmers share ideas and help each other grow. Founded in 2016 in NYC, it has since become a popular medium for sharing content, having debates and discussions, and meeting others in the developer community for collaborative learning.

In this talk, we get a rare opportunity to look under the hood of the dev.to platform and understand what it takes to build and scale a community-focused content-sharing solution. Our featured speaker is Ben Halpern, creator of @ThePracticalDev and maintainer of the dev.to platform codebase.

Ben and Jess (co-founder, dev.to) will both be around after this talk for an impromptu Q&A session at the end of the talk.
