Have you always wanted to become a conference speaker but didn't know where to start? Let 2018 be the year that you make this a reality. Join us in NYC as we celebrate Global Diversity CFP Day with a 1-day workshop bringing together aspiring speakers with expert mentors. Craft your speaker bio, then work on your first CFP proposal with the help of your mentor - then present it for feedback to the whole group.
Bring laptops, chargers and ideas for a talk that you would like to give.
We'll have resources & mentors to help you convert that idea into a talk abstract/proposal.
Then present it for feedback, and potentially identify conferences you can submit to in 2018!
We are prioritizing under-represented minorities in tech - these include women, persons of color, members of the LGBTQ community etc. The event is free but space is limited (80 seats) so please RSVP responsibly - don't take a seat away from someone who can use it.
