6:40 pm / "DCNYC By The Numbers"
Kevin Galligan and Natalie Krivenko from the DroidCon organizing team will join us to provide some insights from the conference, including a look at trends in the Android development space.

7:00 pm / "Applied Firebas MLKit"
Tyler Eastman of Walmart Labs will walk us through the new Firebase MLKit by recreating the famous "HotDog / NoHotDog" demo from HBO's Silicon Valley. Applied ML at its best!

7:30 pm / "Oh The Places You'll Go! Android Navigation - What's new & How does it work?
Britt Barak (GDE & Developer Advocate at Nexmo) will walk you through the options and challenges for building paths through your Android app. Plus, an intro to new stuff from Jetpack!

8:00 pm / "Extending Android Frontends with auto-scaling Kotlin backends"
Wisdom D'Almeida, a Google Developer Programs engineer and expert in cloud-based apps development, will walk us through the value of Kotlin on ... the server side? Yes! We get to see a demo of a Kotlin Android app connected to a Kotlin backend (acting as a Cloud Function) plus integration with various Google Cloud APIs for fun and function.
