Strava is a big deal in Colorado.  But it was once very small.

We will have Derek Faulkner in town from Boston, MA but he was with Strava in the beginning in Silicon Valley.

We will cover remote work, startup success, athletic endeavors, coding practices, and business topics in this wide ranging interview that will include audience questions.

Derek started at Strava in 2011, when it was just a handful of people sharing a small office with an architect. Originally hired to work on the Rails application, he also lead the formation of a mobile team, learned the Android platform, and helped to build up the overall engineering team. Since moving to the east coast he has continued to work remotely as an Android engineer. Before Strava, Derek spent many years as a java engineer in enterprise software.
