2017 - Year in Review:
It was a full year of learning, exploring and implementing new technologies.
We started the year with Tensorflow followed CloudNext.
Then we spent a night exploring Firebase and Google Maps.
In June, we had a great time with Google I/O Extended where we shared knowledge and explored new technologies.
We tried out developing for the Google Assistant, using Actions on Google, Api.ai (now renamed to Dialogflow), and Machine Learning with TensorFlow.
We learned a little about using Kotlin for Android development.
We had fun with the Raspberry Pis and Android Things codelabs.
By September we even gave Swift a whirl to explore iOS native app development.
In October we got together for the DevFest and learned a lot about the Google Assistant, Voice User Interface (VUI), Android Things and Security Robots, Geohashing, Firebase, and Design techniques.
In November we had a very productive Mobile Web Certification Study Jam.
Half of the participants have already taken the exam and gotten certified! WOOHOO!
In December we had a meetup covering native Android app development using Kotlin, as well as mobile web app development.
We look forward to another great year with everyone in 2018!
