About this event

We invite you to our first meetup for 2020! We will talk about Developer relations with Brian Rinaldi, Orlando Devs organizer and Developer Advocate at Stackbit.

// What is Developer Relations

Developer Relations is a relatively new field within technology companies. While five years ago, only a handful of large tech companies had dedicated developer advocates/evangelists, now many, if not most, high tech companies both large and small have them.

Still, what is a developer advocate anyway? It's surprisingly difficult to answer. It can depend on where you work or what the specific focus of your role is. In this session, we'll look at the rise of developer relations, what the different opportunities are in the field and advice for those interested in a career as a developer advocate.

// About Brian

Brian Rinaldi is a Developer Advocate at Stackbit. Brian has been a developer for 20 years, working with front-end and back-end technologies mostly focused on the web. Brian moved to Orlando about 3 years ago and currently organizes the OrlandoDevs meetup.

See you!
