AGENDA:

7:00 pm Doors Open - Food and drinks will be served
7: 15 pm Welcome remarks
7:30 pm Google I/O 2019 biggest news
7:45 pm Reasons to use Firebase over other BaaS

About the talk:
I’ll mainly be talking about the reasons we choose to use firebase over other BaaS’s out there (i.e. ease of use, accessibility, variety of features, etc…). Along with talking about the perks of using Firebase, I will set up a demo project and add a user and some sample data to the server so that I can show a configured Firebase server and a live coding demo of how to implement the basics into an app (i.e. Authentication and Reading/Writing to the server).

About the speaker
Taylor Michel has been working in and around software development for the last 10 years, primarily focusing on the coding side of things. I started my Business TMichel Productions 2 years ago and have worked on projects as simple as a level counter for a card games some friends and I played, all the way to an enterprise level app implemented county wide in Marion county to promote fitness and wellness in the area. Currently we use Google’s Firebase for any and all apps that we create that require any type of backend for keeping track of a user base or storing data.
