== What is a Google Cloud Study Jam? ==

Study Jams are community-run study groups. The objective of Study Jams is to raise the technical proficiency of our community members through well defined projects, labs and technical knowledge sharing.

== How does it benefits me? ==

+ Learn how to set up development and production environments in the Cloud.
+ Learn the fundamentals of the Google Cloud Platform, how to run containers on it and how to use the platform for data engineering.
+ Learn how Docker and Kubernetes work, or learn how to process Big Data in the Cloud.
+ Get access to Qwiklabs.com, a Google training tool, FREE of charge. **NOTE** codes provided are tied to the event date (Feb. 22) and will ONLY be available to those present at the event.
+ Get Google-hosted badges for your online profiles, to show potential employers what you know about Cloud computing.

== How long does it takes? ==

Approximately 10 hours. During this meetup we will provide you with the links and tokens require to complete the labs. We'll also work as group to complete the first few labs during the event.
We'll create a Cloud Study Jam Slack channel to help everyone collaborate on the labs following the event.

== What do you need? ==

- Bring your laptop and charger. We'll work on the labs together. Mac/PC is ok. We only need a browser and internet connectivity.

== About venue and parking ==

PowerDMS is located in the third floor of the Exchange building, entrance on Pine Street. Close to Church Street Train Station.
The building is across the street from public and private parking.
