I’m delighted to announce the first Google Cloud Platform meetup in Manchester on January 24th at 6pm, to be held at the new Cloud Technology Solutions office in central Manchester.
The meet up is suitable for anyone looking to understand more about Google’s public cloud platform or for those who work in a Cloud focussed role and just want to find out a little bit more on what GCP is all about.
Joining us on the day will be a Google Engineer who will be offering first hand insights into the latest developments on the platform. We will also be joined by an existing GCP customer who will be talking about the technical benefits they have gained from moving to the platform, and you will also have the opportunity to network over a few beers and a slice of pizza (or two) after!
To give one a sense of how the pieces of our Data and Analytics Platform come together, we’re going to look at an agency that places ads on those connected displays in the back of NYC taxis. They are sending real-time data - taxi position, destination, passenger count, whether the passenger clicked on the ad for more info, etc - at the rate of X thousand data points per second.
Kubernetes Whack a Pod (mole):
It is an interactive demo that combines a Whack a mole machine with GKE/kubernetes.
We hope you can join us,
