About this event

In a world where technology is evolving at an unprecedented pace, this event focuses on the development that places people front and center. We believe in the power of technology to empower individuals and communities, fostering a sense of belonging and progress for all.

Through engaging discussions, interactive sessions, and a collective commitment to inclusivity, we invite you to be part of a movement that envisions a future where technology truly enhances the lives of all individuals, irrespective of their abilities.

Bruna Gerardilast year doctoral student (PhD) at "Sheffield Hallam University, England, in the field of robotics and AI", brings us the topic of "Artificial intelligence and Socially Assistive Robots (SAR) in care of older adults", unraveling the potential of SARs as an emerging technology to alleviate human resource and economic pressures on the social care system. However, she will also explore the ethical challenges posed by the rapid development of AI and robotics, questioning their use and significance.

Next, Josefine Schaefer, Accessibility Engineer at Storyblok, in her session titled "Beyond compliance: Testing for a more Accessible Web", will demonstrate how accessibility is a powerful tool for creating a more inclusive internet, emphasizing its crucial impact on all users. Contrary to popular belief, accessibility is often an overlooked aspect of web development. Josefine aims to dispel these misconceptions and provide practical insights, encouraging the audience to initiate the journey toward a more accessible online space.

Join us as we chart a course towards a more accessible and people-centric technological landscape. Together, let's shape a future where innovation is synonymous with inclusivity, and technology becomes a force for positive change in the lives of people around the globe.
