International Women's Day (IWD) occurs on March 8th every year. It’s a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world and is a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

IWD is Women Techmakers annual event campaign where our community hosts events all around the world during March and April in celebration of this moment. IWD is a time to host an event that creates connections, educate and inspire, and recognize that we still have a way to go to close the gender gap.
Theme: #ProgressNotPerfection
This year our theme celebrates all kinds of progress - big or small and the strength we demonstrate when we don't let fear hold us back from following our dreams.
We often set high standards and feel disappointed when we can't reach them - or worse, we don’t even try. When we let the idea of being perfect go, we allow ourselves the space and freedom to try new things, to make mistakes and to learn. Then, we see that all our experiences have made us who we are today. So, instead of striving for perfection, we strive for growth and discovery. Instead of being fixated on the destination we enjoy the Journey wherever it takes us to.
So when we celebrate #ProgressNotPerfection, we are celebrating all we have accomplished - big and small and our inner strength and resilience that allowed us to get there.
The event begins with a welcome speech, networking, special presentations. Then we have our keynote speaker, then a breakout session, Q & A
