Google Developers Study Jams is a free series of global, community-run, in-person study groups. The current Study Jams series is presented in partnership with Udacity and will follow their Android for Beginners curriculum.

Study Jam sessions are designed around the Udacity course structure, with a weekly session following each lesson, plus two to three additional weeks for completing and sharing course final projects. Students are expected to come to the Study Jam sessions having completed that week’s Udacity lesson online, so that the Study Jam time may be used to review key concepts, address questions, and work on individual projects. Study Jam sessions are led by facilitators who are certified in the Udacity Android for Beginners course and adjust teaching to the students in the class.

This workshop is an opportunity for students to receive free, in-person guidance and tutoring in a fun classroom environment. All are welcome to join. This course is intended for beginners. Students with a higher level of programming experience, but want to get started on programming for Android Apps are also welcome. You will be expected to download Android Studio (http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html) in order to follow along with the instructors throughout the course.
