This engaging virtual event will discuss salary and negotiation skills and techniques to help you land that new job, in your current position, or for that promotion you're working hard towards.

Please submit your questions in advance. We'll start with a set of questions we prepare, based on what your most pressing thoughts are, then open the floor to Q&A. Email your questions to wtmwinnipeg at gmail dot com or send them to us via our Facebook event page.

Ever wonder how to negotiate for more for a new job or in your current role? Are you wondering how you can clearly communicate your expectations? Do you need some guidance on how to answer some of those tough questions that you'll face in a negotiation? Are how to strategically present your thoughts while keeping everything in perspective something you'd like to learn more about? These could be themes you'd like to know more about, but let us know what you need to know!

We'll be having a raffle open to all of you who attend sometime during this event. You'll need to be in attendance when we call your name to receive the prize.

Vanesa's bio:

Vanesa is passionate about people innovation, and currently spends her days as the Workforce Development Leader of iQmetrix, where she works on exciting projects centered on future-proofing iQmetrix's talent needs. Vanesa has worked in over 15 countries, and has a unique understanding of how different talent markets operate and how people have seen success in them.

Prior to joining iQmetrix, Vanesa worked as the Manager of Talent and Workforce Development at Economic Development Winnipeg, and as a Senior Strategy Consultant for Deloitte Canada. She also co-founded an HR-tech start-up in Germany, that focused on understanding the skills and aptitudes that indicated success in certain roles, and assessing and hiring based on those attributes. In 2019, she was nominated for the Business Leader of the Year, Women in IT Awards Europe, for her work with her start-up.

 In her spare time, Vanesa contributes to the Winnipeg Tech community as one of the leaders of TechWPG, and by volunteering at North Forge Technology Exchange as their Pitch Coach for start-ups. She also sits on the Board of Directors of Youville, as their Vice Chair.
