About this event

Flutter is Google’s mobile app SDK for crafting high-quality native interfaces on iOS and Android in record time. Flutter works with existing code, is already used by developers and organisations around the world, and is free and open source.

If you want to get started on building Flutter apps, join us for our Flutter Study Jam! Together we'll work through Flutter Udacity Course materials prepared by Google instructors. You will be able to get hands-on experience with Flutter and build a Flutter app while learning the fundamentals.

This is the second of three sessions. The third and final session will be on November 21. Please be aware that if you've missed the first session, you'll need to set up a working Flutter version and get yourself up to speed with the Flutter course material up to Lession 1, Unit 20.

In this session we're continuing to work with Flutter and finish Lesson 1 and will cover the first parts of Lesson 2.

Study Jams are not traditional instructor-led, classroom-based trainings. Instead they're better described as "guided hackathons" in which everyone works together to understand and learn new things.

Thanks a lot to our friends at BizDojo Tory Street who let us use their events space for the Flutter Study Jam.

Rough agenda for session 2:

- Finishing Udacity Course Lesson 1
- Working through the first parts of the Udacity Course Lesson 2
- Playing with Flutter
