How can we make releasing mobile apps painless?
We all know how painful releasing can be. As your team grows, so does your output and often releasing can becomes a bottleneck. Resolving merge conflicts, smoke testing and hot fixing are not a developers favourite activities.
At Xero we’ve been experimenting with our release process and would like to share what we’ve learnt, where we’re looking to improve and to hear everyone else’s approach to releasing their mobile apps.
We'll be touching on the following tools/frameworks/technologies:
- Jenkins
- Google Play Developer API
- Octopus (release orchestration tool)
- Firebase Test Lab
