In this workshop, we will introduce you to what Go is, get it installed on everyone's computer, and work through several small programs.

Prerequisites
- Has worked with a command shell
- Has some experience writing code
- Provide your own laptop

Course Outline
- Why Go? (10 minutes)
- Install Go.  (10 minutes)
- Your first command line program. (20 minutes)
- Your first webserver (20 minutes)
- Your first concurrent program (20 minutes)

About Cory LaNou (@corylanou)
Cory has been actively involved in the Go for the past 4 years.  After starting the Denver Go meetup, he has since moved back to the Midwest, and now runs the Chicago Hardcore Go meetup.  He is currently working at influxdata working on the core database team. In his "free" time he instructs for Ardan Labs leading the two day bootcamp series known as "Hardcore Go".
