About this event

Please join us for a weekend of community and skill-building at the University of Arizona Libraries.

Registration is free and includes activities for the entire weekend—workshops, networking, breakfast, lunch, snacks and swag.

This two-day, weekend event offers many beginner-friendly, STEM related workshops, networking opportunities, and creative activities! This is not a competitive event. In fact, it is designed to warmly welcome participants of all ages, gender identities and expressions, all skill levels and interests. We want you to try new things, even things that intimidate you! We want you to meet new people, establish new connections and be inspired.

We aim to design an event that has a little something for everyone, and we invite you to stay for a full weekend of learning and connections. If there isn’t a workshop you want to attend, you can explore our makerspace, CATalyst Studios, with its variety of drop-in activities. On Saturday afternoon we will mingle with mentors from across the community and the university, talking about novel ideas, debating hot topics and sharing advice. Sunday will feature “deep dives”—3-hour sessions working on projects and deeply learning together. Topics include everything from creative coding, robot building, mural making, Wikipedia editing and more!
