About this event

GDG Tucson launched a sustainability series this year. Join us each month through the end of 2021 as we discover how technology can be used to achieve the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).

While Tucson doesn't have any major bodies of water nearby, we are connected to the Pacific Ocean - and especially to the Gulf of California - through our local watershed. This month we will look at some of the efforts that have been undertaken in Tucson to restore our local watershed and the aquatic life that depends on it and look at the larger view of our connection to the Colorado River and the Gulf of California - a body of water that supports such a diversity of life that Jacques Cousteau once called it "the world's aquarium."

Join us as we explore our aquatic connections with data!
