Celebrate Freedom! Free APIs, that is! Join us to kick off a weekend-long hackathon to build something that will inspire fireworks using APIs announced at Google I/O 2019.

Celebrate the 4th by starting to work on your own on projects in teams of up to 3. You can choose any API that had a codelab at Google I/O 2019. The codelabs can be found here: https://events.google.com/io/codelabs/.

Work on your projects over the weekend, submit your code to the I/O Extended 2019 github repo (https://github.com/gdgTucson/io-extended-2019) before 1pm on July 7th, and we'll gather at Gentle Ben's at 1pm on Sunday, July 7th to demo projects, award prizes, and enjoy a celebratory beverage.

Here are the prizes available:
Android projects: Android water bottle
AR/VR projects: Google Daydream headset
Assistant projects: Google Home Mini
ML/IoT projects: Sparkfun Edge development board
Other projects: Google robot puzzle

Plus ARCore thumb drives or Google notebooks for all team members.
