GDG Tucson is proud to wrap up our year-long sustainability series with a regional hackathon!
Feb 26, 2022, 1:00 AM – Feb 28, 2022, 12:00 AM
About this event
For the past year, GDG Tucson has hosted a sustainability series to explore the application of computational sustainability to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Join us as we close out the series with a regional sustainability hackathon!
On 1 January 2016, the world officially began implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - the transformative plan of action based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals - to address urgent global challenges over the next 15 years. Now we, the GDG Mountain Region, call on you to put your passion, your intuition, and your skills to work to help come up with solutions for your local community to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
During this weekend-long hackathon we hope you will put technology to work for the most important cause any of us could work on: achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The specific technologies you use aren't important. What is important is what you will do with those technologies!
February 26 – 28, 2022 1:00 AM – 12:00 AM UTC
We'll present the Sustainable Development Goals and the guidelines for the hackathon.
Anyone with an idea for a project is encouraged to present a 3-5 minute pitch.
Connect in breakout rooms to form your team for the hackathon.
