About this event

Google Open Source (https://opensource.google.com/) is in town for Linux.conf.au (http://linux.conf.au/) and partnering with GDG Sydney to host a FOSS-focused event about Google Summer of Code (https://g.co/gsoc) and Google Code-in (https://g.co/gci).

These two annual programs pair university and teenage students with mentors to contribute to open source projects.

In the 14 years since Google Open Source started running student programs, over 13,000 students from more than 108 countries have contributed 33,000,000+ lines of code to at least 608 open source projects.

Please join us for an evening of food, drink, lightning talks, and a brief presentation from the Google Open Source team's Stephanie Taylor and Josh Simmons.

All are welcome, whether you're a student, educator, project maintainer, or member of a FOSS community!
