🎉 Get ready for an epic night of tech and innovation at the GDG Sydney April Meetup! 🚀 We have three amazing speakers who will be sharing their expertise and insights on a range of topics that are perfect for developers and tech enthusiasts.
First up, we have 🌟 Kartik Arora 🌟, who will be presenting on "What's new in Android 14." 📲 Get ready to learn about the latest features and enhancements included in Android 14 DP2, including performance improvements, security and privacy updates, API and tool updates, and other exciting developments that will help developers build better apps for Android.
Next, we have 🗺️ Anton Korzunov 🗺️, who has spent the last 6 years doing some UI stuff at Atlassian, right across the Darling Bay, and another 10 years before being focused on maps and maps API: as a consumer, as a developer, and as a huge fan overall. He is also one of a kind, holding a Google Maps API certification that closed in 2010. In his talk, "Why Map is not a Territory?", Anton will explore the limitations of maps, despite their usefulness, and how our beliefs about these limitations can impact their effectiveness. Attendees can expect an engaging and thought-provoking presentation from Anton.
Finally, we have the amazing 👨💻 Andrew Kelly 👨💻, who is a Google Developer Expert in Android. Andrew will be presenting "Messing with the Android Manifest" where he talks about his experiments in testing AndroidManifest.xml and improve app lunching with Initializer.
