18.00 - 18.30 Make it Material - A Crash Course in the Visual Language of Android by Marika Driman - Music junkie and Software Developer at Slagkryssaren with a love for Häagen-Dazs, longboarding and Les Mills classes.

Abstract:
It only takes seconds for a user to get a first impression of your app and it will almost entirely be based, not on functionality, but on visual design. How do we make an app look polished and professional? By understanding and applying the fundamentals of Android design and material design principles we can create intuitive and frictionless apps for our users.

18.40 - 19.10 Hold on! Here is Kotlin. One language to rule them all by Sevil Guler - Senior Consultant at Netlight - Helping companies to provide high-quality mobile services to their users. Former at Betsson and Spotify, her strong competence includes Android development with Kotlin and Java, as well as continuous integration and continuous delivery for mobile.

Abstract:
Kotlin is a statically typed programming language for modern multi-platform applications and it’s 100% interoperable with Java. In this presentation, I will talk about the pros and cons of Kotlin from a general aspect, focusing on five Ws: Who, What, Why, When, How. The presentation will end with code samples to show the strength of Kotlin.

19.20 - 19.40 Developer from scratch by Aleksandra Geric - is a life enthusiast, devoted to learning and becoming a better person, thus on a never-ending quest for knowledge and self-improvement. Currently working as a Backend developer at Red Flag.

Abstract:
Becoming a developer in 2018 has some challenges too, but the opportunities are countless. Creating an app just by yourself is now easier than ever before - junior’s view on building your pet project from scratch.
