International Women's Day marks a moment to celebrate and provide visibility for the incredible contributions of women around the world and is a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
For the past 9 years, Women Techmakers has celebrated IWD throughout the months of March and April. In 2020, in spite of a global pandemic and quick pivot to virtual, WTM Ambassadors reached over 80,000 worldwide through our IWD campaign #TogetherWeRise.
In 2021, we hope to inspire even more women and allies across the globe in partnership with you! We are also excited to extend the WTM IWD campaign to our GDG communities, in an effort to work towards gender parity and equity in tech together.

Keynote: How to be productive while being stressed - Irina Shikhman (Google)	Stress is everywhere - when we wake up too early, when we stay in traffic jams, when we are at work. Or when we have to work from home. It affects our lives, our mood and wellbeing. Can't we do something about that? The answer is yes, we can! We will start our journey with understanding what is happening in our body when we are stressed, then we will learn and try a few science proven methods to decrease the stress level and to be productive no matter how stressed we are and no matter where we are.
Own Your Space - Public Speaking Workshop with Debby Kay Dewes	Own Your Space - Public Speaking Workshop - Debby Kay Dewes This workshop will highlight some of the key mental barriers that prevent people from speaking with confidence and practical ways to overcome them - hint: it's all about trust! Attendees will also learn a few basic physical techniques to calm the nerves before and during speech delivery. At the end of the workshop, attendees will be better equipped to own both their mental and physical spaces so as to deliver more compelling presentations.
Getting started with Jetpack Compose with Maia Grotepass	This workshop will be an introduction session to Jetpack Compose. We will then look at a Compose codelab and explore completing the tasks in an interactive fashion. There will be time for questions during the codelab exercise. If there is time we can look at sample projects. Participants can choose to code along or follow the presentation.
Panel discussion	What makes a successful women-in-tech? How do you get into the industry, and what will help you to stay in this male-dominated space? Our panel of expert women-in-tech will be deliberating these questions and share their journeys and lessons learnt making it to the top. Painting with coffee and ink workshop with Lauren Nel	We'll be painting with coffee - the life-blood of humankind! I invite you to leave any anxiety at the door along with any scary expectations. We're going to explore what we can do with some coffee and any ink (even ballpoint pens are welcome!). I'm really looking forward to exploring some coffee-painting techniques with you!
Intro to AI Design and Development with TensorFlow workshop with Tlamelo Makati	Introduce both the code (“how you build neural networks”) as well as design (“how you build systems that users can trust”) at the same time using TensorFlow.
