Bio

Jacob is a certified Google Cloud Professional Architect and Professional Data Engineer and works as a Senior Architect focused on cloud, data, and analytics/ML systems for Alto, a ride hailing startup out of Dallas. Before Alto, Jacob led the Google Cloud practice for a Dallas-based tech consultancy and worked on a number of enterprise Big Data, analytics, and data platform projects as a Google Cloud partner. In his spare time, Jacob organises the Dallas/Ft. Worth GDG Cloud chapter and has picked up an obsession for bread making in the new work from home era.

Highly motivated person pursued Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University(TU) and is a tech enthusiast along with DevOps & System Engineer. I have been leading & experiencing DevOps transformation on both service & product based companies. Culture, Automation and Lean has always been on my top priority with architecting by the utilization of appropriate tools & practices based on the resources available & required.

I am a Google Developer Expert(GDE) in cloud platform, a global program to recognize individuals who are experts and thought leaders in Google technologies. By being a GDE, I have been contributing developer and startup ecosystem for building their cloud infrastructure as well as software architecture both locally and globally.

Currently, I am focused mainly on container based technologies, microservice architecture and serverless environments along with diving into SRE apart from consulting FMCG to FinTech companies remotely and in Kathmandu. The implementation of service mesh & microservice concepts on production grade system interests me.
