About the event:

Machine learning is becoming an irreplaceable part of our lives - from showing us suggested search results and powering smart speakers to driving cars and launching rockets. A crucial aspect of the AI revolution is its ability to interact with humans naturally and that’s where the Natural Language Processing comes in.

In this talk we’re going to discuss how to get started with deep neural networks and use them for NLP tasks, so yes, this is a beginner-friendly event. However, we’re welcoming the machine learning experts out there as well, because Radostin is going to talk about some advanced best-practices and showcase his recent work in NLP with the platform for processing Bulgarian - АзБуки.ML.

IMPORTANT:  If you want to follow the coding demos during the event, prepare a Python 3 environment or make sure you have access to Google Colab.

About the speaker:

Radostin is a student, recognized as “one of the brightest talents in the Bulgarian programming industry”. He has more than 6 years of experience in coding, including Web Development, Android/iOS apps, Machine Learning and IoT. In 2018 Radi authored a project, awarded by Google and since then he has won many other prizes and honours in mathematics and IT, some of which are “Отличник на България” by the Ministry of Education, Laureate of the Bulgarian national olympiad in IT, First place nationwide at NTIT “John Atanasoff”, winner in multiple contests organized by companies such as Github and Axosoft, and many more. 

Recently Radostin has started developing the NLP platform АзБуки.ML, which aims to bring wider Bulgarian language support for many linguistic ML models. Another ambitious project in his portfolio is the social-networking productivity app AnyGoal.
